Anusha Dasgupta

Anusha Dasgupta is an architectural designer and researcher with a Master of Science in Advanced Architectural Design from Cornell University and a Bachelor of Architecture from the Sushant School of Art and Architecture in India. Her work explores the intersection of spatial storytelling, user-centric thinking, and digital innovation, shaped by a strong academic foundation and diverse professional experience across India and the United States.
At Cornell, Anusha served as a Research Assistant in the Ecological Action Lab under Professor Caroline O’Donnell. Her research critically analyzed Peter Eisenman’s 10 Canonical Buildings, challenging the canon by examining architectural narratives through historical, spatial, and cultural lenses. Her contributions extended beyond research to academic presentations and diagrammatic studies that questioned prevailing frameworks of architectural theory.
Anusha’s professional background includes extensive work with URI Design Studio in Gurgaon, India, where she initially interned and later joined as a Junior Architect. Her projects ranged from supervising large-scale lighting installations at the IAADB event (inaugurated by the Prime Minister of India) to leading the redesign of the firm’s website. She demonstrated versatility by managing social media content strategy, producing photorealistic renders, overseeing a team of interns, and creating high-fidelity UI/UX wireframes using Figma. These experiences sharpened her interdisciplinary approach and ability to move fluidly between spatial, digital, and strategic domains.
A licensed architect through India’s Council of Architecture, Anusha has also pursued certifications in UX design, including Google's “Foundations of UX” and “Start the UX Design Process,” as well as a UX Design Kickstarter Workshop from Growthschool. Her technical skill set spans Adobe Creative Suite, Rhino, AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, ArcGIS, Lumion, Enscape, and Figma, allowing her to execute a wide range of design and visualization tasks with clarity and intent.
Anusha is particularly interested in how architecture can engage emotional resonance, user journeys, and sensory experience—whether through physical spaces or digital interfaces. Her work reflects a commitment to sustainability, cultural relevance, and inclusivity. She believes design should not only solve problems but also provoke reflection, foster belonging, and evoke emotion.
With a global design perspective and a collaborative spirit, Anusha aims to contribute to projects that are innovative, human-centered, and socially impactful. She continues to seek opportunities where architecture, technology, and narrative intersect to create meaningful experiences and responsive environments.
